Fantastic property located in Pointe Milou near St. Christophe. Gets gorgeous sun all day. Minimal wind. Gorgeous views with an infinity pool and the perfect space for morning yoga. Check in was swift. François met us at airport to guide us to the house and pre stocked the house for us. A cleaner came every day except Sunday. Would agree with prior review there were a lot of mosquitoes, but I’m not sure that can be avoided. Honestly bug spray was fine as well as lavender oil. Cannot recommend this property enough for all the reasons - location, actual space, views, communication of owner and house manager. Fantastic. My friends and I hope to return.

We love Villa Skrutten. This was our second stay. It has a great layout and a spectacular view, particularly at sunset. It is very clean and user friendly. Goran is easy to communicate with and Francois, the property manager is fantastic. He is very helpful and extremely responsive. The TV suddenly stopped working and Francois answered immediately and replaced it himself the same day. We love the location too. It is walking distance to the Hotel Christopher which is a great for lunch, dinner or a cocktail if you don't feel like driving or cooking. And it's an easy ride to everywhere else on the island.

Goran and Francois (on island concierge) were fantastic. They answered every question, made fantastic recommendations, and when we were in a pinch with a last minute rental car cancellation they found an outstanding alternative. Villa Skrutten is in a great, somewhat isolated location with 20 minute access to Gustavia. Would highly recommend to future groups.

Great location in Pointe Milou while being quiet area, you are close to everything in St-Bart whether you want to spend the day at the beach or enjoy the pool & terrace from the villa. Well equipped kitchen , nice living area with great views & nice bedroom with private bathroom. The 2 bedrooms downstairs share a smaller bathroom which was nice for our young adult sons. The villa is just behind Hotel Christophe and overlooks the bay. Good support from the manager Francois & Celia coming everyday for the cleaning. We took the ferry to get to the island and Francois was waiting for us to guide us to the villa. We have rented villas in the Caribbean in the past and we would definitely come back in St Bart and Villa Skrutten. Property owner always provide timely response. Other reviews were mentioning mosquitoes which is common in the Caribbean based on our experience unless you have a more open area with less vegetation. Great stay! Published Jan 11, 2020

This was our 9th trip to St. Barths, so we've stayed in many villas in various parts of the island. This was our favorite villa thus far. We found Point Milou's location much quieter, and the views were amazing. The villa was also perfect for us and very clean and nicely furnished.. Although in the tropics, we still enjoy watching movies and the living room was perfectly situated so multiple people could sit comfortably in the evenings to visit and relax. The view is also amazing from the living room. Kitchen was beautiful and nicely appointed as well and bedrooms were comfortable. My husband, our 25 year old son and I just returned from 10 glorious days at Villa Skrutten, a gorgeous villa perched on a hillside in Pointe Milou.
The owner's attention to detail to make one's holiday perfect exceeded our expectations.
From the beautifully designed open concept villa with multiple living and entertaining areas, contemporary furnishings, private quarters for every guest and crystal clear plunge pool to the state of the art air conditioned kitchen equipped with high end appliances, well stocked pantry, and every imaginable necessity and accessory for gourmet dining, our villa experience was a perfect 10.
The moment we arrived, we were greeted by Yvan who provided us with a motorcycle escort to the villa. He was accessible to us throughout our entire stay.
The views were spectacular as were the sunsets. Our only regret was that we were only there for 10 days and could have stayed indefinitely. We will most definitely return for an extended holiday next year.

The area is a perfect residential location with the Christopher resort nearby for a drink or a great meal. This ideal location was near retail and beaches as opposed to some more remote areas. Too ensure that we share our views while we enjoy the view on our last day of this stay at Villa Skrutten:
First, the bad part. There comes a time when we have to go home. And leaving is the hardest part. My wife and I have been coming to St. Barts in most years for over 25 years and, even when we stray to other places, we always come back. This is our second year for the two us at Villa Skrutten, having stayed here the first time a year ago when the island was still recovering from the ravages of the hurricane. It is now largely rebuilt, and everything that is completed is even better than before.
Hotel Christopher was still destroyed and under great construction last year. Now, it is completed, magnificently new and convenient to walk down for a lunch or dinner because it is next-door to Villa Skrutten, which overlooks the hotel. My wife noted that this is like staying in the penthouse at the Christopher.
This may be the favorite place we have stayed. We tend to go out in the day and are in most evenings and my wife, a great cook, says the kitchen is the best stocked up on all the places we have stayed on the island.
Goran, the owner, is always quick to helpfully respond; Allan, the house manager, has taken care of any issue immediately: and Cecilia the daily housekeeper are all as friendly as they can be.
The very open air design is great. The views, of course, are spectacular, there is a fine entertainment system, brand new big screen TV, and I need to stop here because I fear that as I spread the word, we may create too much demand . And we sure hope to return. Published Feb 6, 2019

Wow. When we stayed at Skrutten, it was our 12th trip to SB in 9 years. We have stayed at A LOT of villas. This one was one of our faves. The kitchen is FANTASTIC and air conditioned which is a major plus- not to mention, there is not one gadget or dish lacking there! A chef's dream. The sheets on the bed were crisp and delicious, the decor is great, the SONOS is perfect and the view is wonderful...Pointe Milou is our favorite location to be on the island. Only drawback is the tile all over this villa is SLIPPERY as heck when wet...so walk carefully especially with your glass of rose in hand! Great owner to work with also; he is lovely! We had a lovely stay in Villa Skrutten. From booking to departure, everything was very smooth. Communication with owner and manager worked perfectly and we got help with everything we needed during our stay. The house is very well equipped, beautifully designed and the kitchen with AC is a haven when cooking. Calm and serene with a magnificent view of the sea, absolutely no noise even if construction was going on at Hotel Christopher since the hurricane. We would go back any time! My wife and I have been going to St Barts nearly every year for 25 years, so we can compare from experience. The two of us discovered Villa Skrutten in the January 2018 and it has become our favorite place. Goran, the owner, is affable, helpful and accommodating. There was quick response to questions and needs. Great layout. Open, airy, great views, great amenities. We are movie buffs and TV is great. My wife and I just returned from a fabulous stay on St. Barths staying at Villa Skrutten. The villa location was in a very nice part of St. Barths with easy access to just about any part of the island. The villa was well equipped and nicely appointed with modern furnishing throughout. The villa is broken out as such that the top floor has bedrooms flanking both sides of the house with an open air family room and dining room in the middle overlooking the pool. The bottom floor is an additional two bedrooms in a secluded setting but also nicely decorated. The Villa setting is gorgeous with a beautiful back drop of coconut trees and the ocean. We spent every evening in the pool watching the sunset over the Ocean and distant islands enjoying a couple glasses of Rose. The Villa and island are fantastic and we hope to return in the future. Picture this. Four best friends arriving on St. Barts and opening the door to Villa Skrutten in Pointe Malou, entering into a gorgeous open air living room, dining room and infinity pool. After exploring the completely renovated, ultra modern , heavenly cooled kitchen, we settled in for some wonderful wine. There is everything here that might be needed for a fabulous vacation. The bedrooms are furnished with ample storage space, high quality bedding and sleep inducing comfortable mattresses. We had periodic visits from the pool manager and the property manager who were ready to answer any questions. We kept everything very tidy but there was also daily maid service. Taxi service was easy and in just a short drive a terrific bakery in St. Jean for breakfast. What a view! Our hostess knows the island well and wanted to insure that we saw it the way she does. The villa was more beautiful in person, which is hard to believe given the photos. The views, furnishings and amenities were simply first class. It was our first time in St. Barts and you would think that we would want to explore the island but the villa was so comfortable that my husband and I ended up laying by the pool sipping drinks for most of the day. You can not beat the location, close enough to Christopher Hotel to have a massage but you still feel like you are on your own private island while in the villa. Also, helpful to have greeter meet us at the airport to guide us to the villa (since it was our first time visiting) as well as to grocery store. Couldn't have been any nicer ! Another couple was planning to vacation with us but they ended up having to cancel, boy were they sorry when we face timed them and they saw what they were missing.......PARADISE !Submitted Feb 8, 2017

Villa Skrutten is a beautiful villa with great accommodations and a sensational view. There are so many beautiful places and beaches to visit in St. Barth's but loved being at the Villa for lovely sunsets. There were 5 of us (all adults) staying at the house and we had room to spare. We were there to celebrate a milestone birthday for me and it was truly a birthday to remember. So many great restaurants but still a very relaxed atmosphere. The villa has a beautifully appointed kitchen for any level of cooking! We truly enjoyed Nepresso machine for our morning coffee! The pool is delightful and the living space is well appointed and comfortable. Lots of nice extras like Apple TV, a Bose wireless speaker, and of course great wifi. Goran is very good to work with and the local property management is extremely responsive and courteous. They were helpful with everything from meeting us at the airport to recommendations on a scooter rental company. Everyone we met in St. Barth's was gracious and friendly. My family recently spent nine days at the lovely Villa Skrutten in St. Barts to attend a wedding . The villa was so comfortable we didn't want to leave until noon and spent the mornings relaxing in the pool looking at the gorgeous view over the ocean. The kitchen is state of the art and we made many meals at the villa as we found the restaurants in St. Barts very expensive! The decor is gorgeous mid-century modern with great artwork and a huge selection of books. Everything was perfect and I thank Goran and his wife for lending their beautiful villa to us. We have been visiting St. Barths for years and now have our "go-to" villa for all future visits. The setting is private with beautiful vegetation and unparalleled view of the sea. It is thoughtfully appointed with any creature comfort one may wish for and the house manager and housekeeper couldn't be more accommodating and attentive. The floor plans allows for complete privacy for two couples. The plunge pool is perfect to cool off and relax in, with so many beaches to swim in, it is really the perfect, intimate scale for the terrace. There is also an outdoor dining space. The contemporary furnishings are casual, spotless and comfortable and the very cool kitchen is outfitted to the max. We found Villa Skrutten to be a spacious and charming place, well furnished and with good taste with a fabulous kitchen and pleasant support staff that helped us in the early stages find our way to and around the house. The small pool is perfect to cool down and enjoy the very nice ocean view; the outdoor terrace spaces are very comfortable and the villa's amazing kitchen lacks nothing one could would want to prepare any kind of meal. It was perfect for four but can accommodate more people in additional bedrooms below the main floor which we did not see. We would certainly go back to Villa Skrutten when next in St. Barts. The location in Pointe Milou is close to L'Orient and to its bakery for breakfast croissant. The parking space for one small car at the villa is also helpful. A great experience, we loved it. My family and I were met at airport by the housekeeper , made finding this jewel a lot easier. Villa Skrutten is located on a hill in picturesque Pointe Milou. It's my favorite side of the island as the sunset are amazing , good distance from hustle bustle but close to Le Ti for fun evenings . House is charming and comfortable , with a clean , chic design. I work at Jetsetter, a TripAdvisor Media Company, and therefore my job is to seek out the very best in the Caribbean. I found Villa Skrutten by endlessly reaching Villa options in St. Barths. I combed through and monitored the forums on TripAdvisor and asked fellow travelers about the villa. Destinations experts swore by the location of the Villa and loved the photos I shared from the website. I also posted and interacted with the forum members and moderators on SBHonline. Local villa owners (who I trust and go by) highly recommended Goran and Villa Skrutten.
Previously, I had stayed in Flamands Beach. I hadn't been to Pointe Milou with the exception of going to Le Ti one of my all time favorite spots on the island. Villa Skrutten's location can't be beat. It's 200 meters from the recently renovated and hip Christopher Hotel (must for their elaborate breakfast & spa) and just down the hill from Le Ti. The elite Pointe Milou community is private, quite, and beautiful.
The process of booking with the owner Goran was painless especially helping securing a rental car and paying for the villa. The local villa manager was excellent. I mention this because not all villa managers are. I have experienced several who pick you up at the airport, do a quick tour of the property, and then are elusive the rest of the trip. The local manager told me the very best places to snorkel.
If you like to cook then the kitchen in Villa Skrutten is a gourmet paradise. Extremely well appointed with all modern fixtures such as Miele making cooking fresh caught fish from the fisherman in Gustavia is a must. Coffee is a necessity for my mom so the Nespresso machine was a welcomed modern touch most villas lack (Petite Colombe Bakery has espresso but is pricey). The living room opening onto the pool and deck area is breathtaking. There is no better place to watch the sunset than at this villa. I appreciate the attention to detail that was taken decorating the villa especially the artwork. I often find that interior of many villas are stale and really need updating. American DISH TV was a standout. This villa is modern and really luxurious. The well maintained pool which can be an issue with other villas. The pool lights up at night which is a nice touch and we really enjoyed lounging on the clean pool rafts provided. The location is central to all beaches and restaurants. We had a blissful holiday over Christmas and New Year's in St Barths. Every bucket list should have New Year's in St Barths on it - it is amazing who you can meet here at that time!! Everything about our experience with villa Skrutten was amazing. The owners are easy to work with. The staff at the villa are very polite and nice. The villa was very clean open and airy with amazing sunset views.

Coming from Los Angeles, this was our first time to St. Barths but we (my wife and I and our 3 20-something children and a girlfiend) lucked out with Villa Skrutten. We had great dealings with the owner John (Goren) and his house manager (Nils) and housekeeping service (Jana). We spent a week from Xmas to New Years and enjoyed both the island and the villa immensely. Point Milou is a great location, a beautiful, peaceful residential setting, but only minutes from everything. It is just up the street from the Christopher boutique hotel, which makes it easy to book spa appointments, have lunch, etc. just a few steps from the villa. Our stay at Villa Skrutten was really an excellent experience, we have visited the island many times before and stay at different locations but Point Milou is the best neighborhood. Our manager Niels was a very pleasant surprise and went beyond his duty to provide us with the necessary information and solve us any problem at the villa. Since we really enjoy cooking the villa has a well equipped kitchen with all kind of necessary utensils and lovely ceramic trays . We loved the view and the beautiful decor.... would be back soon!!!! Our experience at this lovely villa in St. Barth was everything we expected and more. From the breathtaking views to the contemporary warm décor our experience was one to remember. The property was immaculate and in top condition with all the modern luxuries of home. Hiking in the morning was such a treat; views of the coastlines were spectacular. The beaches are gorgeous, with so many to see. The restaurants are upscale and sophisticated. The overall experience made us feel as though we were in France. Upon our arrival the property management gave us very detailed instructions regarding the operations of the villa. This helped make our stay stress free by answering any questions we may have had. We had a spectacular stay at Villa Skrutten. The house is beautifully but simply furnished. We loved the views and the open floor plan. The kitchen is very well stocked and a great place for cooking, entertaining and relaxing. The bedrooms are very comfortable and very nicely decorated with ensuite bathrooms. We loved the location. It is in a quiet area, there is easy acces to the ocean, and great roads taking long morning walks. We would absolutely recommend this Villa and would most definitely stay there again. We had an incredible time at Villa Skrutten. The pictures here are beautiful but it's impossible to really demonstrate how breathtaking the property is. The house has a very unique, outdoor-living layout so you can really soak up the paradise-like setting while relaxing on the sofa or in the pool. At the same time, you have all the comforts and luxury of a very well-appointed home. The owners have thought of everything and have impeccable taste. We ate several meals at the house and had our pick of every kind of high-end, high-design cookware and serving-ware you could imagine. The modern decor with cool lighting and great music collection made our evening meals even more beautiful. The size and design of the house was very comfortable for our group of 6 and we could have comfortably accommodated 2 or 3 more. The location was ideal. The neighborhood is gorgeous with dramatic views. It's perfectly situated to explore all of the beaches on the island. The nearest beach offered amazing open water scuba diving trips just a few minutes cruise off shore, which we did on 3 of our mornings. A few steps away is an excellent restaurant at the Hotel Christopher. Up the road is a fun nightclub, Le Ti St. Baths, and a little further on, off the main road was a little market where we bought our breakfast groceries each morning. The island is very small so even the farthest beach and restaurants were only 20 minutes away.
Finally, the customer service was superb. Nils, the house manager was very helpful and easily accessible. Linnea, the housekeeper came everyday around noon and was very helpful with insider tips on the island too! We would gladly stay at Villa Skrutten again and recommend it highly to any discerning guests. Submitted May 24, 2011

It´s a perfect villa and well situated in a very nice area. The house is in excellent condition. If you wish you have a five stars hotel with a big pool and nice restaurant and a bar one minute from the villa.Our family has stayed five times at St. Barth and Villa Skrutten was the best. Villa Skrutten is the most fantastic place on earth. The villa is situated in a quiet neighborhood which enables a relaxing atmosphere, but yet close to the vibrant life in Saint Jean and Gustavia as well as to the beautiful beaches. The location with the spectacular sea view along with exquisite layout and contemporary european interior design of the villa, gives you an amazing experience. Villa Skrutten really met the whole family's needs, a beautiful swimming pool, nice bedrooms each one with a TV and a living room where the whole family and friends could hangout. We loved Villa Skrutten. The property was even better than advertised. Very private. Fabulous views. Beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms. A wonderful gourmet kitchen. No more than 10 minutes to a half dozen wonderful beaches. 5 minutes to a patisserie for croissant and coffee in the morning. Submitted Jul 24, 2010
